Why Bible Baptist Church?
“Why should I consider Bible Baptist Church?”
Here is a brief list of what makes us special and different from other churches:
- Biblical Basis: At Bible Baptist Church, being fundamental and Bible-believing is not just an idea, it is our practice. We have a strong Bible-based teaching ministry and believe in saturating everything we do in the Word of God. Check the Our Position section of the about us page for more details.
- Missions Ministry: Bible Baptist Church is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission. Providing monthly support to about 30 missionaries worldwide, we pray that we will be able to do more in taking the “gospel to every creature.”
- Evangelistic Outreach: Believing that Christians are to witness of the saving power of Jesus Christ, Bible Baptist Church practices weekly soul-winning and visitation. Our Sunday School, Bus Ministry, Nursing Home, Retirement Home and Prison Ministries are centered on declaring the Gospel message. - Biblical Separation: Bible Baptist is an independent Baptist church. This means it is free from external interference from a denominational headquarters. This allows concentrating all the efforts and funds directly on our ministries. Bible Baptist Church also refuses to be involved with the ministries that promote liberalism or worldliness. We believe that Christians are to exhibit holy living as a testimony of their faith in Christ to the ungodly world.
- Christian School: Bible Baptist Academy offers classes for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The quality of education is recognized by the Ohio Board of Education, and meets or exceeds the state’s requirements for private, Christian schools. Member of American Association of Christian Schools and Christian Schools of Ohio, Bible Baptist Academy endeavors to teach young people from a truly Christian perspective. All subjects (including Spanish, French, Music, Arts, Home Economics, Sports Program, etc.) are taught in light of God’s Word. Affordable tuition is another attractive feature of the school.
- Music Program: Bible Baptist Church emphasizes traditional, Christ-honoring hymns and songs. We do not use or endorse Christian Rock or Contemporary Christian Music.
- Consistency: Bible Baptist has been ministering in the Miami Valley since 1988. During this time the church has not changed its mission, beliefs, or even a pastor. While the surrounding world practices situational ethics, Bible Baptist believes the Church needs to be a solid rock of commitment. We pray that we will never let the devil move us from the goals of pleasing our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
- Feeling Of Home: Bible Baptist is not a church where you feel “lost in the crowd!” While the church is large enough for the many ministries that our Lord has given to us, our size does allow to have close relationships among the church members and minister to one another’s needs. Our members enjoy meeting for the worship services and ministry work throughout the entire week. The congregation includes young people, couples, single adults, middle-aged and seniors. We value the atmosphere of friendship, thus making the church our Home.
- Pastor: We truly appreciate our pastor, Dr. Randall Townsend, for his continuous dedication to the ministry of the Lord and our church. Many are impressed by his working knowledge of the Scriptures and his ability to preach 4-5 times a week, presenting the answers from the Bible and touching the heart with the Word of God. However, besides the outstanding Bible scholarship and preaching, our pastor is known for giving personal attention to the needs of each church member. We do not think that Bible Baptist is the only Biblical church in the area. However, we are trying to do the best for the glory of God, and believe that our church is very special.
