Full Time - Assistant Pastor

Summary:
Located in the heart of Dayton’s Neighborhood of Belmont, Bible Baptist Church is an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church. The church is made up of small congregation with a diversity in ages and backgrounds. The Church is looking for an energetic assistant pastor who will be able to work under the direct supervision of the senior pastor in providing support in the areas of preaching, teaching, outreach, and evangelism.
Required Qualifications:

1. He should meet the Biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
2. He should have obtained a formal education in a Bible related discipline.
3. He must have prior ministry experience 
4. He must be in full agreement with doctrinal statement of Bible Baptist Church (http://www.bbcdayton.org/our-beliefs.html)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ministry related bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred.
2. 2+ years of ministry experience preferred.
3. Ability to lead singing or play a musical instrument would be a plus
4. Familiarity with church-related technology and AV systems would be a plus

Job Description:

1. Teaching and Preaching: The assistant pastor would be required to regularly teach in Sunday School classes, Bible Studies, and other devotional meetings as needed. The assistant pastor will be on the regular preaching calendar of the church.
2. Evangelism and Outreach: The assistant pastor will work with the senior pastor to create and execute the annual evangelism and outreach plans for the church. This would include organizing special community events, home and hospital visits, and other outreach efforts.
3. Assistance to Ministries: The assistant pastor under the leadership of the senior pastor will provide input to the Children’s Ministry, Men’s Ministry, and other such ministries of the church.
4. Other duties assigned: As the leadership of the church, other administrative duties and errands will be assigned to the assistant pastor for the general maintenance and upkeep of the church building, grounds, and general ministries of the church.
