Location: Bible Baptist Church—Dayton, Ohio

Salary and/or allowances $40K-$55K Annually
 
Position Summary:
Bible Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Lead Pastor who meets the biblical qualifications outlined in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.  The Pastor will serve as the spiritual leader of the congregation providing Christ-centered preaching, pastoral care, and vision driven leadership.  This role calls for a humble servant-leader committed to equipping believers for ministry and guiding the church to fulfill its mission to glorify GOD, build up the body of Christ, and reach the community with the gospel. 
 
Required Qualifications:

1. He should likewise follow the Biblical example of being a servant of the Lord for the needs of the flock.  
2. Has or is obtaining a formal education in a Bible related discipline (Bachelor’s degree minimum).
3. He must have prior 2 years of verifiable missions and/or ministry experience  
4. He must include at least 3 non-family member professional references confirming this experience complete with contact information  
5. He must pass a legal background check   
6. He must be in full agreement with doctrinal statement of Bible Baptist Church (http://www.bbcdayton.org/our-beliefs.html)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ministry related master’s degree or higher preferred.
2. 2+ years of pastor or assistant pastor experience preferred 

Job Description:

1. Preaching and Teaching: Deliver sound expository and applicable biblical teaching in all worship services; lead the congregation in spiritual growth discipleship
2. Leadership and Vision: Provide spiritual direction and leadership to staff, ministry teams and growth of the children’s ministry. 
3. Evangelism and Outreach: Pastor will work with the congregation and trustees to create and execute an annual evangelism and outreach plan for the church. This would include organizing special community events, home and hospital visits, and other outreach efforts.
4. Administration: overseeing church operations including ministries, staff supervision, the general maintenance and upkeep of the church facilities.

Qualified candidates will be reviewed by the Pulpit Committee. Each applicant will be evaluated based on their: 

• Personal testimony and call to ministry
• Doctrine and biblical alignment
• Ministry experience and references 
• Agreement with the church’s Articles of Faith

 
After careful review, one candidate at a time will be presented to the congregation for consideration.
